Matthew 6:25-27; This is why I tell you not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about the clothes for your body. After all, isn’t life worth more than food? And isn’t the body worth more than clothes? 26. Look at the birds; they do not sow seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren’t you worth much more than birds? 27. Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it?
The word worry comes from an old Anglo–Saxon word that means; “Choke” or “To Strangle “,that’s an apt description of what worry does to us. Worry will not stretch our saving account or heal a deadly diseases. It will only cause us to lose sleep, it will give you high blood pressure and headaches. It will sour our mood and distance our friends and eventually stifle our relationship with God. It not only has physical consequences, it has spiritual consequences as well. To worry is to insult the God who has your life under control.
God will take care of you, He seeks you to also take care of His justice in the world. There is more to, than concern for daily needs. This may be a bit difficult for some of us, but always know that His assurance is forever.
Jesus expects His followers to put forward energy into things that give more meaning to life. All you must know is; sometimes God will provide a time of need in order for believers to trust Him, turn to Him, or to improve their character .
The Bible says in Matthew 6:33; But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
We must strive to discern how God is working in the world and how to participate in the acts of justice on God’s behalf. Beyond that, everything else will take care of itself, Thus; Jesus will deal with the rest. The point is that when Jesus’ disciples are responsible to carry out the proper ways of life as ordained by God, God is faithful to carry out His responsibilities.
